Almonds have been consumed for centuries by civilizations around the world. Almond is produced from the tree Prunus dulcis. They are native to the Middle East, but the US is now the world’s largest producer. The almonds you can buy in stores usually have the shell removed, revealing the edible nut inside. They are sold either raw or roasted. There are two types of almonds wherein one variety produces sweet almonds which are edible and the other variety is the bitter almonds that are used for almond oil.
Dry roasting using a cyclone chamber is a new process of roasting without oil or preservatives. We hand-pick almonds and dry roast them with exotic flavours to enhance the natural taste of the almonds.
CALIFORNIA ORIGIN: Almonds are harvested from trees scientifically classified as “Prunus dulcis”. It is thought to have originated from South Asia and China.
